| Dream #3: The Lemon Orchard |

I had another Cities of Gold dream. Sort of. I dreamed (dreamt?) that I moved to Mexico to grow lemons. I owned this beautiful orchard with thousands or trees in long rigid formations. They looked a bit like the trees a five year old would draw with crayons: thin straight trunk with a roughly drawn, though quite accurate, circle of leaves. Five or six bright yellow lemons were dotted on each tree. It was rather lovely and I had a feeling of deep contentment but as always happens in dreams this was a fleeting sensation for a suddenly decided that I had to get to Machu Picchu. Apparently the best way to get from Mexico to Machu Picchu in the dream world is to run very fast. There is also nothing between Mexico and my destination other than vast plains of dusty earth littered with smooth round boulders which I leapt over and sped round in a disturbingly camp fashion while singing the theme tune to the Mysterious Cities of Gold. Children of the Sun, And so on, over and over. It made me very happy. It was like a chase dream without anything chasing me and so the relief and freedom was exhilarating. I reached Machu Picchu and stood at the top of the mountain at the famous point that looks out over the site that you see in everyone’s photographs. As the, (Ahhh-ah-ah-ah-ah), ...bit of the song played I leapt of the mountain and my arms turned to wings. I didn’t become the Golden Condor of the cartoon which would have been bloody awesome but I did fly up and away from the mountain. It was amazing, a nice running dream then a flying dream all in one night with the Cities of Gold theme as a soundtrack. If only life was as awesome as my dreams.
